Sharewarealso termed trial ware or demo ware is what two words make Shareware, does this mean that the use of this trial ware might be functional for a limited time period only?

Yes Toni you are correct. That is the right definition of shareware, it is a trial mode or demo mode which tests the ability of the subject software in a limited time for the users to enjoy and explore the feature of the specific program. And it is being published on tv and magazines which makes them popular, let you download them and install in your phone, computers , Ipod and etc. for free within 10,20,30 days or more. As a beta testing.

Dear Toni,

Yes, essentially, "Shareware" is NOT the same as freeware. It is usually the type of software can be downloaded for free but will only work for a certain time period (called the trial period) after which you will have to pay for its services. Its distribution is open, but the software is not open-source and free-for-all.

Shareware, the word, points towards "ware" as in stuff – that's meant for "sharing" – but is not Free for those you share it with.

Hope this clears out the point

Regards
