Hi guys.  My desktop was recently attacked by a Win32 virus and disabled some system restrictions.  I run the RRT Sergiwa Antiviral Toolkit and perform the necessary tasks.  I checked my system and the restrictions are still disabled.  Can someone help?  Thanks in advance.

Hello Douglas,

Try removing the virus using the following manual process:

  • On your computer, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to open the task manager.
  • In the task manager window, go to processes and then look for Worm.Win32.VBA
  • Locate it on your computer as well as all files associated to it and then delete it.
  • Also delete any files associated with this worm in the registry editor.

Hi Douglas M Scott,

The RRT Sergiwa Antiviral Toolkit can remove the unnecessary files but it cannot return your computer to its original working state, what're you gonna do is to do a system restore first to restore all the damage files on the system, however, you can also do it on the registry editor, for example, if you want to enable your task manager, which is disabled for all types of virus initiation, run the regedit on the start command and then locate for this file, HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoft Windows Current VersionPoliciesSystem, set the task manager to 1.
