Router does not turn on immediately. HELP!

Good day

My problem regarding our router, a D-link 624, is that when I turn the power on my computer including the router. All is well except for our router, it won't turn on. I have checked everything from the socket to it's wires, I even re-inserted the plug. Then a funny thing happened when i disregarded our router and just watch videos in  the PC, the router turned on. So it's like this everytime. If I want to use the internet I would wait patiently till the router functions. Can anybody help me.  What's wrong ? I'm thinking that it has behaviour issues!

Truly yours

Mike

My solution to that problem is.

1. Check the button, if its working.

2. If the warranty is still valid, you can go to the shop where you bought that Router.

My best solution for that is

Just wait patiently until it turns on and then don’t turn it off. A router has low power consumption and it can take 24/7 power on. Like my router on my internet shop its on 24/7 and has no  problem at all.

Hi,

Choose a convenient location to begin installing your router, such as an open floor space or table. This does not need to be the permanent location of the router. For wireless routers, it may be necessary to re-position the unit after installing it, as the signals may not reach all areas needed.

Hello,

You just unplug the power to the cable/DSL modem and connect to the power of your router and connect the computer in one from the LAN ports of the router. Restart the computer. Restore the router in the factory defaults, this will remove the previous configuration of the setting.

If the router has gone through restore, it begins to reboot and after rebooting simply plug the power back from the DSL modem and then try to check the signal to your connection, for the network.  Open the wireless adapter in the interface.
