Roland SC-545EX printer prints dull blue color

When printing a tarpaulin, our tarpaulin printer prints dull blue color. Sometimes blue color became violet.

I tried to clean the printer, using the head cleaning and the power cleaning option on the printer’s panel.

I tried to test print and found out that the other side of the cyan ink/head doesn’t print.

Please help!

You have done all the basic troubleshooting options on your printer and still the problem persists. With your actions made, we are very sure that the problem comes from your hardware. Here are some factors affecting the printing of your blue color.

Blue color is composed of Magenta and Cyan, since your Cyan inks prints only at one side, the Cyan ink therefore prints incompletely to turn the color into blue. That’s the reason why blue prints becomes dull or sometimes turns to violet.

Check your dumper (on the print head module that is not firing) if it is still good. Be sure that there is no hole or cuts on the body of the dumper. The plastic covering on the body is intact, and the ink passage on the dumper is not clogged.

Also check your pump assembly, if the pump is not pumping anymore the head cannot get or fill the dumper with ink. Ink on the dumper is the stock of ink used for printing.

If found physical problem on the parts purchase for a replacement. In the case of the pump assembly, try to clean tubes first before purchasing a new one.
