Some times it is most frequent for the pendrives that a shortcut is created and the pendrive shows that there is only some free space but if you open the pendrive the pendrive shows empty.If you are facing this problem one of the solutions to get the data that is present in the pendrive is to archieve the data.

Rightclick on pendrive->archieve to a location in your pc.

You will get the data in zip or archieve format.you can unzip it.and format the pendrive so that you can use it for future use.It worked for me.Hope it’ll work for you.
