I really need your help on my Sony Ericsson mobile phone; it has been restored to its factory default settings after a firmware upgrade.

Some of the things that I manage to import back through web applications are my contacts and calendar.

I don’t know how to use the backup data of the phone to restore whatever I lost after the default restoration.

Can you please help me?

Before you attempt to restore your data, be sure that the firmware upgrade for your Sony Ericsson has completed.

Here are the steps in restoring your data:

  1. Locate the Backup and Restore icon in your home screen and then press it.

  2. The message No backup files found may appear, just ignore it and press Restore.

  3. Choose your backup file on the screen.

  4. Check the data categories you want to restore. Please make sure that you scroll all the way down so you won’t miss a category. Press Continue and then Restore data.

  5. The restore process will then start.

  6. When the data restoration has completed, press Continue.

Synchronised contacts are generally not backed up to avoid duplicates.

To restore them, use your sync service.
