When I want to change the state of the virtual machine then I receive such type of failure message savtstfc01 failed to start. It shows this error because I am not able to attach IDE controller. Please tell me the reason behind this fault?

There are many ways to come such type of error, for removing this we can change some settings.

If any hard drive attaches to the virtual machine then firstly remove it and run the virtual machine.

If you have taken any snapshot of the device, then delete the snapshot and shutdown the virtual machine to merge all snapshot.

It will fix the problem.
