Hello experts,

I was trying to log in my system using my administrative account but I couldn’t. I am stuck on user profile service failed the logon server 2008. I have asked some of my colleagues regarding this and they gave me a series of complex steps. The only thing I got from them is that I should create another admin account. Will that help? If yes, what are the other things I should do to resolve this error?

Hi friend,

It is bit geeky business. Still we will try to make it as simple as possible. At first let us tell you that what your colleagues told you is obviously the first step to solve this error. Log in through this account in safe mode. Then search regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionProfileList In the profilelist rename the SID that does not end with .bak, by adding .bak.

Close regedit and try to reboot. This will enable you to log in without any error.
