I have a Windows XP PC and a Toshiba 32DL66PS LCD TV which is 32 inches. I have downloaded this toshiba tv software for windows xp. I can get the TV to work fine but the resolution is not that good. The desktop displayed a resized image of the TV that is why it is not focused and part of the desktop monitor is missing. I tried adjusting monitor resolution and I can only get good result for resolution 1024×768. I want to use the resolution 1366×768 but the output is not good. Can anybody help me in configuring the setup to display quality output with resolution 1366×768

Hey Jamin Ywain,

You should try following solutions for this problem.

  • Go to “Options Menu” of your Toshiba TV software and see if you can adjust the resolution. Also, find the aspect ratio and try to configure it according to your screen requirements.
  • Right click on the desktop and click properties. Look in the Settings tab and see which highest screen resolution your GFX card can support? If it can support up to 1366×768 pixels then adjust it accordingly. But if your GFX card cannot support up to this limit then you may try to install Windows 7 because Windows 7 supports wide range of screen resolution (but GFX card can limit the resolution here too, should give it a try)
  • If the Toshiba TV software can support the screen resolution up to 1366×768 pixels and it doesn’t show good results at 1024×768 pixels try using the same software in another monitor/LCD and see if works. If it works in other LCD/Monitor then there’s a bad news for you because your LCD(GFX matters card too) might not support this resolution.
