Yes that’s true. Photo Rescue offers data recovery solution from any type of photography media – be it on your smartphone, cameras, and even tablets. It also works efficiently with any type of storage media such as SD cards, memory sticks and many more. If you want to see it, you can download the latest demo version here: http://www.datarescue.com/photorescue/v3/try.htm and if you want the full version, you can purchase it here: http://www.datarescue.com/photorescue/v3/buy.htm. Best of luck!

I guess that’s possible but the recovery still depends on the stat of the file on your memory card. When you delete a file in any storage media, the file you deleted will leave an imprint on the sectors it occupies. This allows applications to recover the file. But for a successful recovery of a file, no file activity should be made on the storage media.

File activity may include copying, moving, and editing. You can open a photo but don’t edit and then save it later. That will cause a write or write activity on the storage. Meaning, it will save changes to the file on the storage which will cause data to be written on the media which might overwrite the imprint left by the file you deleted.

You can open a photo but don’t edit to avoid the need of saving it. If you want to use PhotoRescue to possibly recover any accidentally deleted photos on your memory card, go to PhotoRescue Photo Recovery Software. Unfortunately, this application is designed for old operating systems. It supports Windows 2000 and Windows XP as well as OS X.

The application is able to recover all image file types but its algorithm is specifically optimized for GIF, BMP, JPG, and TIFF files. It also supports most camera’s RAW file format such as MRW, CRW, NEF, ORF, CR2, RAW, RAF, and others.
