Removing Photos Off A Dead iPod

I have been looking for the answer to this for a couple years. I keep hoping technology catches up to be able fix this. I have a older iPod with pictures of my kids when they were little. I would really like to find a way to get them off if any has any ideas?

There are few options to select through,

  • Using drive savers (a costly option!)- through the companies that recover data (but the recovery tool depends on the version of the device)
  • iOS data recovery program – should use an iPhone data recovery software (This link provides the facility to download free trial versions of Mac & Windows data recovery software packages!)
  • If you had previously synced the data with iTunes, iPhoto photo recovery tool is also a good option.
