I've a simple web/Facebook question. I sometimes comment on my friends picture, and this is good communication between us, but I don't like to get all those notifications from all the 44 others who commented on the same picture.
Can I unsubscribe to those posts?

The answer is yes you can.
All you have to do is to log in into your Facebook account and click on the down button which is next to the home button.
When you click on the down button you will see a dropdown menu. In that menu click 'Account settings".
When settings page loads up, click on the 'Notifications' which is on the left side. When the Notification page is fully loaded click on the 'Edit' which is equal to the photos. Then uncheck the options which you don't want to come as notifications.
Then click on the Save changes button to save your preference.
Step by step instructions
1) log in into your account
2) click on the down button
3) Select account settings
4) then select Notifications on the left side.
5) Then click edit which is straight to the photos option
6) Uncheck the ones that you don't want to receive as notifications
7) Click on Save changes button to save your preferences

To remove the many notifications, you have to change your notifications settings in Facebook. Follow these steps and you will no longer have the many notifications bothering you:
a. On your Facebook page click on the small arrow on the top right corner of your screen
b. On the dropdown menu select account settings
c. On the next screen select the notifications options on the left side of your screen
d. On the next screen choose the photo options.
e. Another screen appears with the notifications options on photos
f. Deselect any option that you don’t want to stop receiving the notifications
