Hello,
Could anyone give me an advice on what tool I would use to access, manage, perfrom remote tasks from my server that is about several miles away from my client workstations? Can I even perform such tasks even when I'm at home, without a server on?

Hello Antonio,
Yes for sure you can access your server or PC remotely from any part of the world, as long as your internet connection is working fine. There are several screen sharing softwares available in the e-market, some of which are free to use for your personal use and if you want those softwares for business use than you have to purchase a license coopy for the same. Apart from screen sharing softwares there are several other tools such as "Citrix" which can be used to access to remotely asscess and data stored in your server connected to the internet. And for screen sharing softwares you can refer to Team Viewer, Cross Loop and LogmeIn Rescue.
