Hello

I am getting this error message when I try to fix to our remote Database via Remote Desktop Connection.

What should I do now?

Please help.

Remote Desktop Connection

Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons:

1. Remote access to the server is not enabled
2. The remote computer is turned off
3. The remote computer is not available on the network

Make sure the remote computer is turned on and connected to the network, and that remote access in enabled.

I searched in online, and I got an answer that this may be from Firewall, but this is not accurate.

That’s why I am asking you to give a solid answer. I need to solve it quickly.

Please help me to get rid of it.

Thanks.

Hello Eckel,

Since the possible causes to the error you are getting when trying to connect to your remote database using desktop connection are the following:

  • You have not enabled the remote access to the server.
  • The remote computer you are trying to access has been switched off.
  • The remote computer you are trying to access is missing on the network you are on right now,

you will need to do the following to work around the issue:

  • First, check to make sure that the remote computer you are trying to access has been enabled. Check the network cables and ensure that they have not been disconnected.
  • Check the computer you are trying to connect to remotely and ensure that it is turned on.
  • Make sure that the computer you are trying to have remote access to is available on your network.

Regards,

Carl
