Hi Jimmy Perez,

Well, there are a lot of ways on how to reduce the file size of an image. A lot of them could be simple depending of the file type of the image. If the file type is not JPG, then you can open the file to any image editing software, and save it as a JPG file type. This will compress the file; thus, reducing the file size.

However, in your case it is already a JPG so it won’t work. Anyway, there are still a lot of ways you can do to reduce the file type size. Well, you could reduce the color format of the image or compress the image; however, it would decrease the quality of the image. The best way would be using JStrip.

It is an application which reduces the file type of the image without changing its quality.

Just use JStrip my friend.

Hi,

This is what i do to reduce the size of an image, using windows 7 open the image using Microsoft Office Picture Manager > click on Pictures > Compress Pictures > a side bar will appear > under compress for choose Documents > it will show you the previous size of your file and its new size > click on ok for the changes to take effect and there you go you have reduced the size of an image.

Very easy steps to do it.

Thanks,

Glenn
