I recently installed Red Alert game on my PC, I’ve windows XP installed. I was able to hear red alert autorun sound but there is no sound when game starts. Does anyone know the cause of this problem and how to rectify this issue?

Hallo Mich,

The error you are getting may be due to the following:

  • Sound configurations on our system, or
  • The sound configurations of the Red Alert Game.

To resolve it therefore you will need to do the following:

  • On your computer, go to the Task bar and click on the sound icon.
  • Make sure that the volume has not been muted.
  • Still on the task bar, right click on the Volume Control icon.
  • After that click on Sound.
  • In the window that will come up, click on the Playback tab, as well as the Sounds tab and check to make sure that the speakers are working properly.

After you have verified that the speakers on your system are working properly, you will need to check the sound configurations of the Red Alert Game and make sure that they have been configured properly.
