Hello Experts! I’ve got a Seagate hard drive that is corrupted. I have files and pictures that I need to access but the hard drive becomes unreadable so I can’t get my files back. Is there a way that I can still recover my files from a corrupted Seagate hard drive?

Hello Ricky Lo

See your device manager first and check , if there is a yellow mark concerning  the Seagate. I use right click on it and re-install. To install a new driver leave Windows to reboot. USB controllers can list  . If it's not under removable storage or disk drives. It can contain a little x on the icon.

According to the steps  go ahead, Do it carefully. If you didn't handle it carefully you may lose some files and also use use a Seagate software to recover your files from losing.

Your Hard drive becomes unreadable so you cannot access it to take your files back so you need a help of a program called HDD Regenerator. This program will help you to scan your Hard disk and recover any bad sectors or logical errors that could be found .

The processing rate of this program may vary from 6 to 8 hours with 160 GB you can download a copy of this program from this website URL:

Hope you would have stopped further working on that hard disk.

1.   Do not  start recovering the data on your own, because this may corrupt your important data.

2.   Do not use any software to do the recovery of your hard disk.

3.   Never try to dismantle and check for any faults on your own.

I will suggest you you a website who give you online suggestions for the recovery of the data
