Purchasing a video editing software depends on what functions you need and how you will adapt to the program because every video editing software has different ways in doing the editing. Though it is designed to edit videos, sometimes you may not like the way the program displays the title.
Also, there are times the feature you want is available in another program but the transitions available in that program doesn’t apply to you. Sometimes you will end up having both video editors and probably several video editors just to meet your requirements. I myself use 2 video editing software because my original video editor doesn’t have the overlay function.
Overlay is different from just inserting another video or photo to your original video. When overlay is used, the inserted video or image can be moved and resized anywhere on the video and your original video is still the main video of the project.
