Google Drive is now available on the App Store.

They said that you could only read documents and you cannot edit them.

Can you at least get documents directly from your computer?

I think you can edit the files on your Google, drive because Google drive has some tools that you can use to access and edit or make changes to your files.

Google drive is like iCloud in apple. It is a virtual drive from the internet where you can save your personal files. You can get files from that drive anywhere as long as you are connected to internet.

So if you are asking about getting documents directly to your computer, this answers your question. Additional for getting you files, you can search your files on Google drive easily.

I hope this will help you.

The Google Drive app is available on Android and iOS devices. Maybe that was before in the earlier release of the Google Drive app which probably doesn’t allow you to edit your files. With the current release, it now allows you to edit, comment, or view your files. The latest version allows you to do the following:

  • * View documents, photos, videos, PDFs, and more
  • * Search files by name and or content
  • * Share files and folder with other users
  • * Set sharing permissions to view, edit, or comment
  • * Swiftly access latest files
  • * Check file details as well as activity
  • * Allows offline viewing of files

The latest version 4.9 has the following features and updates:

  • * Request access to a file directly from the Google Drive app
  • * Lets you watch video from the Google Drive app while using other apps on iPad for iOS 9 only
  • * You can specify which types of notifications you want to receive
  • * Fixed issues that in uncommon cases could trigger the app to crash

For iOS, download Google Drive from Google Drive on iTunes. It requires iOS 8.0 or higher. For Android, download Google Drive from Google Drive on Google Play Store. Requirement varies with devices.
