I wish to know how to recover deleted ad object from a system. I have accidentally deleted one of an important ad object and now wish to recover it. Does someone know the procedure to recover it?
Suppose that you have deleted a user account named ‘Sunder.’ Here’s the step-wise process of recovering it:
First, open command prompt in elevated mode as shown.
Then, type ldp.exe and then press enter
Then, click on connect.
Type the server name and click on OK.
After that, click on Bind.
Then, click ok.
Now, select Options menu and then click on Controls.
Then, in the drop-down menu, select “Return deleted objects.”
Then, go to view and then select “Tree” and select the option as listed below.
Then, browse to the container of Deleted Objects and locate the Deleted Objects that you want to recover. Right click and then select Modify.
Now, input “isDeleted” and select Delete under Operation and press Enter.
Then, type distinguishedName and type the original DN of the object in the values. Select the check box Extended.
Under Operation, select Replace and again press Enter. Finally, click Run.
Object restored successfully.
