Hey Carlo Marasigan!

Normally the computer did not boot if the RAM is out of order. When you press the power button on the CPU you will hear a continuous beep tone and the Monitor screen will remain black and will give you no result. These are the symptoms of out of ordered RAM. You have to replace your RAM unless you will not able to boot your PC. So replace RAM and boot your PC.

I hope that now you understand that how can you know, if the RAM is out of ordered and I am succeeded in guiding you about

Thanks

Dear Carlo,

There are many ways to check that the RAM is out of order.

First thing is this; if the RAM is out of order then it will give long beeps when the computer starts.

Some RAMs do not give beeps. Even the RAMs are out of order.

That RAMs have failed parity circuit.

Check the RAM deeply if it is damaged from anywhere.

Remove the RAM and put it into other computer. If it gives beeps then the RAM is out of order.

If the RAM does not gives beeps and shows display on the screen. Then the Ram is OK.

I hope you have understood.

Thanks

Basically, it is hard to determine at first glance if a RAM or a memory card is good or bad or what you say out of order. Also, it doesn’t mean that if a memory card is bad it automatically doesn’t work. There are bad RAMs that still operate. One example is the memory card I bought for my Pentium 1 desktop computer way back years ago.

It is only a refurbished memory card which still works when it was tested in the shop. I actually didn’t find any problem with the device I bought at first because I can play the usual games I played on my computer. But the problem is that, there is a specific part in the game or a specific location in the map I used that whenever I go to that spot the game suddenly freezes.

I tried other maps and there’s no problem. It’s only that map that has an issue and always on that particular spot in the map that causes the game to freeze. Other games on my computer are ok. When I tried to return it, they argue with me and said the device is fine.

But still they replaced the memory card. After it was replaced, the issue on the map was fixed. The game no longer freezes even if my player stands on that same spot. A totally defective memory card is very noticeable when installed on a computer. You will hear series of long beeps after turning on the CPU. It’s the same kind of beep you hear when there are no memory cards installed on the computer.
