Hey,

I am able to connect to the server without any issues. For some reason I am getting this error after executing some commands. Has anyone experienced this before? For your information I have windows 98 operating system 64 bit and 1 GB RAM. What is causing this error? Please help me. Your help is great.

Error :

There was an error while attempting to show the File Save dialog.

Error was [-2147417848]: Automation error

The object invoked has disconnected from its clients.

QwikQuote will now show an alternate Save dialog so you don’t lose your work.

This problem normally happens on users running Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows 7. One of the possible causes of this error is a higher security level that is in effect in Windows Vista and Windows 7. When you save your work in a folder and that folder doesn’t allow you full rights then you will have this error.

To fix your problem, go to the installation folder of QwikQuote in “C:Program Files”, right-click on the installation folder QwikQuote, and select Properties. Select Security tab. Select your logon username and you should see “Full control” is Allowed or enabled. See image.

The basic idea here is that all users of QwikQuote should have full access rights on the program’s installation folder “QQ6”. If this method didn’t work, you should check that the main executable file of QwikQuote is not running under compatibility mode. To check, open Windows Explorer and go to “C:Program Files (x86)QQ6”. Find the file “QQuote6.exe”, right-click on it and select Properties.

Select Compatibility tab. Make sure the sections shown below are unchecked. See image.
