Error # 0 is usually the result of an inproper install. This can be caused by several factors, but the solution is simple.

1. First, download a fresh copy of Quicktime from here .Don't use the standard Quicktime website as that will detect your current installation and refuse to provide a fresh copy.

2. Now shut down your browser and (if running) any QuickTime processes.

3. Run the program you just downloaded. Choose Remove when prompted.

4. Install normally.

The reason I did not suggest uninstalling from Add/Remove Programs is because you need to have a copy of QuickTime available for the future (as downloaded in Step 1).
