Hello friends,

A question about how to create chord charts in word. I am a composer and want to create my own song for the fifth time around. This song is dedicated to a friend of mine. Can you please give me a fast way to deal with chord charts using Microsoft word? I am not familiar with Microsoft packages application and I need somehelp.

Thanks and Regards,

Follow the steps below:

1.   Go to the table menu and choose Draw Table.

2.   Draw your desired table size. Adjust the size of the square depending on how many chords you want to put.

3.   Draw vertical lines inside the square. After inserting the lines, right click inside the square and choose Auto-Fit > Auto Fit to Contents to even the spaces in between the lines.

4.   Go to insert menu and select Symbols. Select the black circled bullet as fingerlings for the chord. For dead strings, use a small x. For open strings, use small o.
