This error occurs mainly because of out dated drivers. To fix this-

  1. Power on your pc and then turn it off after few seconds. Repeat this two times
  2. This will open Windows recovery environment, then proceed to troubleshoot and then advanced options
  3. In that go to startup settings, then you need to enable safe mode with networking
  4. After entering the mode update your drivers

This will definitely fix the problem.

If you don’t have any problem with your external devices, you can try booting your computer in Safe Mode. But if you cannot get pass the black screen, start or turn on your computer then when the blue Windows logo appears, press the power button and reboot again. Keep doing this for three times until you trigger the Windows 10 automatic repair.

Follow the instructions then go to the “Advanced Options Menu.” Once you’re there, click “Troubleshoot,” “Advanced options,” “Startup Settings,” and then finally click the “Restart” button.

Windows 10 advanced options menu

After this, in the “Startup Settings” press 5 or F5 to select “Enable Safe Mode with Networking.” When you’re in Safe Mode, try troubleshooting the problem. You can try disabling the fast startup. Go to “Control Panel,” “System and Security,” “Power options” then click “Choose what the power button does” on the left pane. Click “Change settings that are currently unavailable” then uncheck “Turn on fast startup (recommended).”

Click “Save changes” then restart the computer. See if this works. Visit How to Fix Black Screen to see some other troubleshooting.
