Providing Better Protection To Your PC: Antivirus vs. Anti-malware

Hi. The difference in antivirus vs. anti-malware is as follows-

An antivirus deals with protection against the traditional threats such as worms, virus, Trojans, etc. whereas, anti-malware protects the PC against the latest threats such as polymorphic malware. An antivirus is slow in speed as compared to that of an anti-malware. Thus, an antivirus protects our PC against the obvious threats whereas an anti-malware protects it against the new and more dangerous threats. I will prefer to install an anti-malware in comparison to an antivirus as it easy to run, light weight and can work along with an antivirus. Also, a malware is an all in one security package and provides protection against a more diverse group of threats as compared to an antivirus. So, to conclude it all, an anti-malware can be an antivirus but not vice-versa. Hope, we helped.
