Hi

When I try to search flash and java from the store of the software, I find the following message:

There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks. Please report this error at https://login.launchpad.net/99XpjDRm9ZnH3TKQ/+decide and retry.

Then I tried it again and again, minimum 20 times but same message. Please help me.

Thank in advance.

A programming error in aptdaemon

Hallo Sherry,

This error seems to be an Operating System related error. It could have been better if you stated which version of Ubuntu operating system you are using.

What the error message seems to suggest is that there is a bug in the aptdaemon of the software center on your computer and therefore it is very important that you report it at bugs.ubuntu.com so that it can get fixed.

Another thing you might consider doing is running a Synaptic Package manager and then do the following:

  • Navigate to the custom filters to the bottom left hand corner.
  • Locate the broken filter and then left click on it.
  • After that you should try to reinstall all the packages in case they come up.

Regards,

Carl
