Hi Experts,
I have purchased a new game. While playing the game I received and error message. It is asking for T&L and stencil support. However, I am using latest drivers on my machine. What type of error message is it? I do not understand the error message. If you have any idea for the issue, please help.

Hi Olivia Aust,
That means that your motherboard doesn’t meet the minimum requirement of the game. Some games require the T&L support to start their graphics system. If your motherboard doesn’t support this you need to add a graphics card to get this support. But if your motherboard is an Intel motherboard or chipset just download and install Graphics Media Accelerator software.Â

If you installed a game and this error appeared after launching it, it means the game is not compatible with your computer. The problem is related to your video card. The game requires a video card with T&L and stencil support which it can’t find in your existing graphics adapter. To troubleshoot the problem, first, try updating your video card driver.
If you have an ASUS video card, go to ASUS Download Center. If you are using an NVIDIA video card, go to NVIDIA Driver Downloads. If you are using an ATI Radeon or any AMD video card, go to AMD Graphics Drivers and Software. If you are using your motherboard’s built-in Intel video card, go to Intel Drivers & Software.
If you have a Matrox video card, go to Matrox Driver and Software Download. Download and install the latest driver for your video card then see if it works. If updating your video card’s driver doesn’t help, you need to upgrade your video card. Buy a new video card that has the hardware T&L and stencil support.
