Hi Pamela,

The Gigabyte's U2440 notebook is actually backing a very powerful hardware pieces compared to its announced price of 699$.

The processor is a Intel Core i3 3127U processor, and yes its Ivy bridge based processor. The U2440 is also a light notebook weighting just 1918gm or 67.7 oz. which is roughly about 2 Kg.

The notebook comes with a 4-cell battery but with the option of having a 6-cell battery giving you more battery life.

There are two variants for the U2440 model. One is the U2440M, which comes with Core i3-3217U processor.
