Hello,

It is necessary for me to run the setup CD after I manually install a device. I do not have any clue.

Hi Juan,

It depends on your device. What you need in the setup disc is the device driver.  A device driver the is the software or program that allows you to control or use the device you installed. Usually, an Operating Systems has a bunch of built in device drivers in it. The more advanced your OS is the, the more drivers are bundled in it.  If your new device doesn't have a driver built in your OS, that is when you need some setup disc to install it's driver.
