I bought Hp DeskJet 1050 Printer last year around November 15th, 2014 for my office use. I realized just last month that the printer could not print out my document. I checked the ink levels in the cartridge just to check if that is the cause. I also did check the kind of paper I inserted in the printer thinking that could be the cause but all proofed to be not the cause. I suspect the roller that picks the paper to be the source of the error in printing. I wanted to know if you can help me in servicing this.

1. Remove the power cord after turning off your printer. Slide out the power tray and lift it up. Slide it off the track and set it aside.

2. Reach inside the paper tray and feel the texture of the rollers along the right side. They have to be replaced if they are completely smooth and they can be reused if they are still rough.

3. Grasp it firmly and remove it off the bar. There must be some residue accumulated on the rollers. Take a clean cloth and clean the roller thoroughly.

4. If a label is wrapped around the roller, soak it thoroughly in a dampen cloth. Dampen it using warm water.

(NOTE: If the label is slightly off the printer and wraps around the roller remove it carefully using dampen cloth and peel the label. The roller has to be removed if the label does not come out cleanly.)
