Procedure entry point in Linux 11.10 Ubuntu not found when start firefox

Hey guys,

I need you to suggest me some solutions in this matter.

I’m using a fully updated Windows vista in my PC. Recently I updated my Firefox to 8.0.1. My previous version 6.4 was working perfectly. But, when I start Firefox 8.0.1 I’m getting an error message that states:

"The procedure entry point PORT_LoadLibraryFromOrigin could not be found in the dynamic link library nssutil3.dll". Now when I click the OK button four times, I get this standard windows error message stating: "A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Usually I like using Linux 11.10 Ubuntu. I just install Windows to run updates. I wanted to run some sophisticated photo editing software, which is why I needed Firefox. I’ve tried a reinstall of my Firefox 8.0.1- no result.

Are you familiar with this type of problems? Then please help me. Waiting for your answers.

THANKS A LOT!

Hi,

I will help you to get your Firefox  8.0.1 work in Windows. The reason for your error is that, it was not installed correctly. Uninstall it and restart your PC. Then install it and see if it's working. If not working then download the newest version which is 16 and install. It will definitely run without issues.
