Hi there,

I tried to install Steam today, but during the install I got this error message box and it blurred me totally. I have tried also, to install a lot version, but this error appears to all. Recently I have made some updates to my Windows 7 (x32). Can anyone tell me if the updates are the problem with my steam and that’s why I can’t install it ?

Thanks !

In case you are running the latest version of Microsoft Windows, Windows 8 or higher, this version is still not supported. Currently, the Steam Client supports only the following Microsoft Windows operating systems both 32-bit and 64-bit versions:

  • Microsoft Windows XP
  • Microsoft Windows Vista
  • Microsoft Windows 7

But since you said you are running Windows 7, supposedly you shouldn’t have a problem. Try installing a fresh copy of the program again to make sure you have the latest and working installer. Uninstall Steam and restart your computer. After that, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then select Disk Cleanup.

Select drive C and check “Temporary files”. Click OK to start cleaning all temporary files on your drive. Once it is finished, visit Install Steam Now. Click on the green Install Steam Now download button to download the installer. Once the download is complete, run the installer and install the Steam Client.
