Hello everyone,

I just installed ABP on my 64-bit Windows 7 and I use the debug version of Firefox as my web browser.

The problem here is whenever I open a website which has adds on it. I get the following message:

Please help me to overcome this problem. Following is the screenshot of error message:

NSGlue_ASSERTION

ASSERTION: Want to fire mutation events, but it's not safe:

static_cast<nsIContent*>(aNode)->IsInNativeAnonymousSubtree0) ||

c:/Users/                                mozilla-central/content/base/src/nsContent

Click Abort to exit the Application.
Click Retry to Debug the Application.
Click Ignore to continue running the Application.

Hello Justine,

I hope you receive the following message.

If you have the new Firefox 8 then this is a common case.

Please update your Firefox to full version. This message is from some old version, it has been removed in Firefox 6.

Firefox 8 does not appreciate anything below it. So do afresh full installation of the browser.

Hi there,

I think you are having trouble with viewing websites with addons on Mozilla Firefox.

I suggest you disable all your addons and then restart Mozilla Firefox and try again.

If not still working means try updating your Mozilla Firefox and then try restarting it and check if its right.

If not then uninstall Mozilla Firefox and then download a fresh one from file hippo.com and then try again after installing it.

Download and install kaspersky internet security 2012 to keep your Malware away so that if this problem is caused by any virus or malware, kaspersky will take care of it.

Hope that solves your problem.

Good luck.

Thank you Dionco Jan and Lesten Pasio. I followed Lesten's advice and uninstalled my add-ons. I also reinstalled Mozilla Firefox and made sure that my anti-virus is up-to-date. Thank you very much Lesten! the message no longer makes an appearance. Sorry for the delayed gratitude.

This site is very helpful, all my problems when it comes to computers are all here. Thank you TechyV.
