The software on my Blackberry Torch 9850 was recently upgraded to version 7.0.0.374. I am having problems with some icons that keep on reappearing even after hiding them. These are icons for Bing, Maps, and VZ Navigator. I do not need these applications.

Please help me remove them.

You will just need to check the settings for hiding those icons that you have mentioned in the Blackberry Torch application. The reason why they keep reappearing could be because you have only hid them temporarily such that when the application restarts the icons will reappear. So what you need to do is the following:

  • Go to the blackberry torch application and go to the settings.
  • Under the settings, you should look for the option to disable the icons from appearing permanently so that when you restart the application they will not reappear.
  • And then save the changes.

Thereafter restart the device and see the response.
