Greetings all, so I am having issues with Skype as the title says. Basically when I make calls I cannot hear anything. Those who I am calling can hear me through Skype but I cannot hear them. I have uninstalled Skype and reinstalled and still the same problem. Not sure if this will help but when I log onto vent people can hear me just fine and I can hear them fine, so I have an idea what is going on lol. Any and all help is appreciated in advance. I have checked all my sound stuff and nothing is muted lol. I should of probably added that in.
Problems of Skype that we face
First you have to check your microphone cord if you are using a headset or not built-in microphone, because you might be losing connection. It that doesn’t help you have to enter Tools-Options-Audio settings in the main Skype window. Check if you have already chosen audio card built-in your computer.
Note: You cannot change it during video/audio call is running. You can only change it after the call is finished. If that is done, then check if your call is muted in Skype by accidently clicking icon. Another thing might happen is that person who you try to speak with didn’t choose the correct input in their Skype Audio settings.
Maybe they didn’t choose the correct microphone setting. Does your problem exist during a Skype call with any person or just a particular one? You said that you’ve already checked your Volume settings in Windows, now you have to check if audio driver is working properly, if not then you have to reinstall your audio driver and have your Windows restarted.
