I was trying to schedule a backup job, but it got stuck on: "Mounting the media…" and then it closes. If I run the DLT tape drive and process manually, it works fine. Can anyone help?
If the process got stuck on that part of the task then maybe there is something interfering with the operation or maybe the program that is scheduled to run is busy because there is another application that has exclusive access to it.
This kind of delay in the operation is sometimes caused by the installed antivirus because it monitors all tasks and program behaviors on the system.
These tasks include all applications that launches, all programs that exits, the processes of the applications, the location of the program in the memory where it loads after execution, and others.
Try to disable your antivirus then restart the job that got stuck and see if it continues now.
