Hello Techyv users,

I am in a problem which might be a silly problem to you. But I need solution of it. I am a winamp user for a long time. Some days ago I have bought an Acer notebook and I tried to install the winamp program in it. But the irony of my fate is I can not play anything with this. Whenever I tried to play any media file in it. It says the file is corrupted or something. But in other programs like KMP the media file works ok. I tried to download more than once but no solution. Please give me a solution for it.

Hi there Hodge,

The first thing you should do is to try to reinstall the Winamp. Winamp is a great and stable application that should work out of the box on any computer and with any sound cards.

If reinstallation doesn't help, you may be missing some codecs that are needed for files to be played. To install the missing codecs please visit the following link: winamp codecs, download the package and run the installer.

And last thing you should check are your sound card drivers. Make sure they are properly installed and all up to date to avoid problems with playing media.

Best regards,
Drake Vivian
