Hi,

While installing DNS I received an error message. The screenshot of the error message is as under.

It suggests configuring DNS manually. How can I get a remedy of this issue?

Have you any idea?

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Problem While Configuring DNS Manually

Hi,

You should make it sure that the workstation has DC as a DNS address only. But if you are using DHCP make it sre also that the server is providing the DC as a DNS address ONLY. Check the configuration of DHCP , it should be appropriate such as:

Option 003- Option for gateaway address then put it in Router’s IP address.

Option 006- Option for DNS address. Put it in DC’s IP address ONLY.

Option 015- Option for domain FQDN. And enter your AD DNS name ( “domain.local” for example) Then Enter.

To configure a forwarder, Go to the Open DNS console. Right click the Servername. And choose properties. Go to the Forwarders tab and enter your DNS address of your ISP. Run ipconfig/release then ipconfig/renew to get a new DHCP configuration. Join this to the domain.

Hope it will help you.
