Problem with Uploading videos to jomsocial using IE

For my social networking site, I am using jomsocial. Things are working fine and well apart from the option of uploading videos. It seems one cannot upload videos while using the Internet Explorer browser. Not sure if there is any component to be installed or any configuration settings to be modified. Appreciate if anyone could share their insight in solving this issue.

Yes, I am also faced this type of problem when I used internet explorer software for browsing or other purpose. There have some limitation in Internet Explorer application to open java script in any website. So you should change your default web browser in your desktop or laptop. There have no any perfect solution for you without this.

I recommend you to use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox software for your default web browser. You can choose any one form the above list. But I think you can use Mozilla Firefox updated version for browse and upload in jomsocial site.

>> Try reinstalling the internet explorer on your computer

When we are uploading videos or images to a website, the uploader uses Flash Player to upload the files, and it seems that your Flash Player is creating a problem during the uploading. Try to install a new one or update the existing Flash Player. Go to this link to download the latest Flash Player, or to update your currently installed Flash Player.

It will remove your problem permanently.

That’s probably the limitation of the add-on. Also, I personally don’t like using Microsoft Internet Explorer when browsing websites because of the errors. I prefer using other web browsers like the Opera browser, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, and Maxthon. If you prefer using Microsoft Internet Explorer, try updating it to the latest version supported by your operating system. Try updating Microsoft Internet Explorer to one of the following:

You should also check if JomSocial requires Flash Player for uploading videos. If it does, you need to make sure that the latest Adobe Flash Player is installed.
