Mr. Grover have you tried reinstalling the software? It may be a possible option so that your Java programs will work properly again. Well it may use up a decent amount of space in your drive. But it will solve your first problem.

Then about uninstalling the software well the problem may arise when the files were transferred or moved by you probably or anyone who has access to the file that's why the computer is unable to find the file. Cause the computer will just look at the same place where the computer remembered not the place where it was transferred.

So try searching for the file manually and then manually uninstall the file without using the "add/remove programs" option. Or first try defragmenting your drive then search using the "search" option under the start menu. Be sure though to include everything including hidden and system files. "Defrag" is not really necessary but it may speed up the search then once you find the uninstall file, manually uninstall.

Then to prevent this hassle the next time try creating a separate drive or folder for all your programs essential to your computer. So that these drives/folders will not be disturbed. Preventing it from being misplaced.

I have seen and understand the problem you have mentioned, there are two possibilities like either the file is missing or its deleted.

We can have two possible ways to get rid of this problem.

1. The first way is that you need to re-install the software you are trying to uninstall on the same location so that during installation your corrupted file may be replaced with a new copy, and again you can try to uninstall the program completely from your computer.
2. There is a second solution if and only if the above solution does not react. The second solution is to delete that folder directly from your computer and re-install the new version of the software.
