Hi,

I try to run the service.msc ActiveX but it is displaying the following error message:

Service.msc ActiveX

Error:

Web Browser

One or more ActiveX controls could not be displaying because either:

  1. Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or
  2. You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls.

As a result, the page might not displaying correctly.

There are two ways to have the ActiveX controls issue resolve which are both through Microsoft Fix It application:

  1. “Fix It for Me” which is changing the registry Value Data in Zones subkey to Zero however, please be aware that modifying the registry incorrectly may cause serious problems on your system so you must be very careful if you choose this method. Although, once you click on the Fix It button it will automatically do the changes on the registry for you.
  2. “Let Me Fix It Myself” by doing the following steps in changing the registry settings:
  • Click on Start
  • Type regedit on the Search box
  • Browse the registry key
  • Click on the zero (0) subkey
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USERS SoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet SettingsZones
  • On the right pane, right-click on 1200 then choose Modify
  • On the Value Data box, just type either 2 or 0 in order to overwrite its existing value which is 3
  • Click on OK
  • Close the registry editor this time
  • Launch an MMC Console test if the issue has been resolved

To get to the Microsoft Fix it link, just go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2506343/error-one-or-more-activex-controls-could-not-be-displayed-when-launchi.
