Problem with newly purchased Toshiba laptop

I recently purchase a Toshiba laptop, I have been using it for almost a month now for work. Just recently while I was using it my laptop’s screen went black and there was a long beeping sound coming from it, seconds after it came back and then went black again bearing a message saying “no bootable device”. Can anyone help me deal with this issue or should I bring this back to the store where I purchased it since, it is still under warranty?

One of the reason why you're experiencing the beeping sound is a faulty or bad RAM. The main function of RAM is to save all temporary works. When power is interrupted, the data will be lost and the file might be corrupted. Your computer will not run if you have no memory or if it is damaged. Therefore, when your computer tries to reboot, files are corrupted and no bootable device are detected.

Some other symptoms of a bad RAM is getting random crashes or blue screen during an intense usage of application and multitasking. Also, you'll experience low FPS or graphical glitches. But since you mentioned that you just bought it, your RAM might have been loosed due to bumps or nudges.

When it comes to bootable device, restart your computer then continuously press F8 to load BIOS settings. Make sure that all drives can be detected.

If you are still having a hard time figuring out the problem, you can return to the store where it was bought and have them check all the hardware.

If it is still under warranty then the best option for you is to bring it back to the store to have it checked and fixed. It is less of a headache to you and less a hassle since they will be the one to do the troubleshooting as well as the fixing. Otherwise if it is too much of a trouble to go to the store, try taking the hard drive out then put it back in. It may have just gone loose hence it was not detected. If that does not work, find time to take it back to the store.

Thank you for that information Fischarinta I think you are right, And also to Clair. You have a point, I really should go back to that store and avail the warranty of the unit so they could check it. I wish they will just replace it. I am really disappointed with the unit I purchased

Thank you so much…
