Hello TechyV!

I just downloaded net demon and I’m trying to install it but the installer is not working. I am using Windows 7 and I have existing Visual Studio 2008. I am not sure if I need to uninstall 2008 and install the latest version or install the requirements and other pre-requisites first. Maybe, something is wrong with the installer I downloaded on the downloads page? If you have experienced the same problem with net demon downloads, I would like to hear it. Also, if you can provide your own solution, it will be great. Thanks.

Hey

The net demon once downloaded comes with a full installer or self extracting file. exe file . Should you find yourself having problems with the net.demon download? Then you need to install the newer MFC dll files: MFC42.DLL installer. You could also visit Free Download Center for a free link to email service to receive a direct link to net.demon.

It seems you did not check the program’s system requirements properly before installing it on your computer. NetDemon is way too old to be installed on Microsoft Windows 7. The latest and last release of NetDemon was in April 2001 when NetDemon 3.0 was released. It supports Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT. Microsoft Windows 7, during those times, does not exist yet.

One option you can try to see if the program works is to run the program in compatibility mode with Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT. If you’ve downloaded a different version, try downloading NetDemon 3.0. See if it installs. If it doesn’t, try starting the installer in compatibility mode. Open Windows Explorer then navigate to the location of the downloaded file.

Right-click the NetDemon setup file, nd_inst.exe, and select “Properties.” Next, go to “Compatibility” tab and check “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select one of the supported operating systems from the dropdown list (Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT). Click “OK” then start the setup file and see if it works.
