Hi, you can try resetting the phone by holding the home button and the sleep button together for more than 5 seconds until the phone completely reboots.

If that doesn’t work, you will need to restore your iPhone through iTunes. Plug in your phone to either your PC or Mac, when iTunes recognizes your phone, click on restore, this should restore your iPhone to its factory settings.

Hi Kaylie,

It seems that the second hand iPhone that you bought was already modified or jailbroken using Winterboard. The best way to revert it back to the original settings is for you to do a Factory Restore.

You need to download iTunes on your computer. Once downloaded and installed completely you need to connect your iPhone to your PC.

Using the sync cable, connect it to your iPhone and the other end to your computer USB slot.

Open up iTunes and it will automatically detect your iPhone. Once it is detected, the iPhone name should show under devices.

You can just hit RESTORE button on the main screen, or right click on the iPhone name and select RESTORE. It will take a few minutes to revert it back to the factory resetting like out of the box.

I hope this helps you.
