Problem downloading files using download manager

Hi all,

I am using Internet Download Manager, to download some files from the internet. Recently I used IDM to download a fonts for my design work, I meet an error that said that there are some damage.

Internet Download Manager detected that its registry keys had been damaged

since the last run. It’s possible that you run a flaky spyware remover program

which corrupted system registry. Internet Download Manager will try to restore all

damaged data, but some data may remain corrupted.

When I read the error, my perception is that IDM is damaged. Before I experience this  error message, my computer was not properly shutdown due to power failure.  So I restarted my computer and booted it again. When I try to load again IDM to download again the file I needed, same error still persists.

Please help me fix my IDM, so that I can now download the fonts I needed.

Thanks.

Hello,

You're getting this error in IDM because your registry keys are corrupted.

The solution to this is very simple, Reinstall IDM and after that you will have to delete the registry keys of IDM or this message will still prevail.

Step by Step, Instructions-

1. Put you PC in safe mode.

2. Uninstall IDM.

3. Click Start > Run > Type "REGEDIT"(without quotes).

4. Windows registry editor is opened, go to Software.

5. Find Internet Download Manager Folder right click and delete it.

Now you can install IDM.

Hello

This problem is quite simple. First, you need to uninstall your Internet Download Manager(IDM). Second, since there are damages to the registry due to power failure, you need to clean first the registry before installing back your IDM. There are lots of free software in the internet for registry cleaning jobs.

Software's like Registry cleaner, CCleaner, Uniblue, Tuneup Utilities and etc. has specialized to maintain the registry and find errors to be fixed. After running a scan using any of these software's, it is now safe to install back your IDM.

Hope you pick the right tool for the job.

Thank you.
