I am facing a wired error message when I am trying to download a Facebook app on my Mac. I did the download in iPad without any problem. But I can’t able to download it in Mac. Is this a compatibility problem? I don’t understand the root cause of this error. Please guide me, thanks in advance.
There was a problem downloading the artwork for “Facebook”.
Please try again by choosing “Check for Available Downloads” from the Store menu.
Problem to downloading the artwork for “Facebook”
The availability of the app as well as the compatibility depends on the device or machine where you will be installing it. An app that works and can be installed on a normal personal computer may not be installed on another device such as an iPad. They have different formats of installers to run.
If both platforms are Apple devices, check and verify with the Mac App Store if the Facebook app is also available in Mac OS X aside from iOS. iOS is the operating system that runs on Apple handheld devices such as iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Mac OS X, on the other hand, refers to the operating system or OS that normally runs a normal Macintosh computer.
Since I’m not sure what kind of Facebook app you are downloading, you can try Facebook 4 Mac for Mac. This one from CNET supports Mac OS X 10.3 Panther, 10.4 Tiger, 10.5 Leopard, and 10.7 Lion.
