Hello Marianne,

If you are using Magneticone modules, then be guaranteed that they will fail totally in the event that you are making use of zend Optimizer versions. Make sure that you only use ioncube loader versions. The people at M1 have not upgraded their modules just yet and therefore the zend people have not made a php 5.3 compatible zend Optimizer version that is backward compatible.
