Problem with CamStudio – Screencast Videos

Hello there,

I used CamStudio as a tool for creating screencast videos before.  I seem to find this application easy in making these videos.  I was so happy when I was done installing the program on my desktop. 

With much excitement, I proceeded in making the screencast videos.  Now my problem starts after I stopped recording.  Below is the error message.

C:Windowstemp20120329_0011_49.avi

Can’t open or find the file.

To try and fix the problem, I downloaded the codec on the CamStudio website.  It doesn’t seem to fix the problem.  Does anyone know the remedy for this?

       This type of problem arose several times and to several people, as this is one of the common problem with the software cam studio. Yet, for every problem there would a solution to every problem as this problem also has answer. 
 
First one is you have to replace some registry files and this you can replace by downloading it from http://camstudio.org/fixreg.reg
 
download it and save it as .reg file and run that file. This would replace your existing file, but keep in mind take back up of your previous registry. 
 
Second way is running the cam studio application as an administrator might solve your problem.
