Problem with AX, which has not been updated with the new CU3

Hello,

I was using CU1 installed in AX 2012. Today, I have successfully installed CU3, but the problem is my AX, which has not been updated with the new CU3.

You can see on the screenshot. It is still showing the previous version.

Again, when I open the check list, it shows me this error:

Infolog (2)

Read the warning message and take suitable action.

Message (16:36:43)

An error occurred in writing to the event log on machine no-s

An error occurred in writing to the event log on machine no-

sql2k8r2: Cannot open log for source 'Microsoft Dynamics AX –

AXUtil'. You may not have write access.

Can someone help me to resolve this issue?

I want to install and run CU3 without errors.

Hi,

When you had CU1 then you used the previous version of AX which worked fine. Now that you installed CU3 on your system you should also have the latest version of AX on your system. This problem occurs usually when you install the CU3 and CU1 on the same system. What you should do is use only one version of the CU on your computer. Just follow the steps below:

1. If you want to use CU3 then uninstall CU1 from your computer completely.

2. Also uninstall the previous version of AX. Now download the latest version of AX required by CU3 and install it on your computer.

3. Save the settings and restart the computer.

This should solve your problem.
